Traces of Time. Music for All Souls’ Day

Date: 2 November
Venue: Constance Hall, Vihula Manor

A bright and dreamy All Souls’ Day concert with music by Tõnu Raadik and Eero Sommer. The evening features ballads and romantic violin music performed by composer and violinist Tõnu Raadik together with pianist Eero Sommer, who have been making music together for over a decade. The concert program includes both new and earlier ballads by Tõnu Raadik, along with romantic and virtuoso violin pieces.

As Tõnu Raadik has collaborated with several legendary Estonian singers, surprise guest performances are also possible. CDs will be available for purchase.

“Old Tailcoat” – Artur Raidmets and Peeter Kaljumäe

We’re bringing back the classics from the dust of time! If we happen to find an old performance outfit in the wardrobe, it will remind us of the days when light classical music was performed on stage in tailcoats. A tailcoat elevates both performer and audience, giving the entire atmosphere a sense of dignity. Even the backstage stories we plan to share take on the elegance of the classics when told in a tailcoat, avoiding any hint of crudeness.

The program features well-known songs from the repertoires of master artists such as Artur Rinne, Hardi Tiidus, Uno Loobi, and others—tunes that are familiar to the audience and perfect for singing along. Humorous anecdotes are woven together with witty songs and music that is elegant and tasteful. The entire concert is refined, seasoned with subtle, tasteful humor.

The concert will be performed in Estonian.
