Vihula Manor Holiday Village at Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa is tantalizingly close to its grand opening in May this year. There is a preview of what you can expect from what will be one of the finest Estonian holiday resorts able to cater for all your family holiday needs.
In the picturesque grounds of Vihula Manor lie 15 beautifully restored buildings, which is Vihula Manor Holiday Village. This collection includes a converted water mill, ice cellar, cattle barn plus other renovated farm buildings, each housing impressive entertainment facilities unique to Estonia.
According to Kadi Elmeste, the sales and marketing manager of Vihula Manor, Vihula Manor Holiday Village is aimed at families with children for day visits and adding to the already comprehensive range of activities available to the guests at Vihula Manor. “You may enjoy traditional Estonian food in Kaval-Ants Tavern & Terrace, have a look at variety of farm animals at Vihula Manor Eco-Farm, explore nature trails by foot or by horse carriage, have a fun in the largest mini-golf facility in Baltic countries,” said Kadi Elmeste. The Vihula Manor Holiday Village has the best preserved functioning historic Water Mill which houses now Visitor Centre, Post Office, Manor Museum, Lifestyle Cafe and a Design & Fashion Shop. Our multifunctional Sports Arena has been open for a while now, and in the wintertime there is an ice rink.
18.11.2011 VIHULA MANOR GOT THE GREEN KEY
The Green Key, an international environmental label awarded to accommodation establishments following the principles of a sustainable economy, was handed over to Vihula Manor by the Tourism Development Centre of Enterprise Estonia today. There are now 20 Green Key accommodation establishments altogether in Estonia. The Green Key program is financed through EU Social Fund.

31.10.2011 Following 4 years of intensive renovation works, Vihula Manor in the Lahemaa Nationalpark in North Estonia is being completed as a full service manor resort this autumn. Behind the picturesque central grounds of the estate a number of historical buildings are being reconstructed to create a number of unique leisure and entertainment facilities, which are being integrated into an ecological and up-market resort with a romantic village feel – Vihula Manor Holiday Village. Already this summer the first facilities were ready including Water Mill with Visitor Centre, Lifestyle Café, Post Office, Manor Museum and a Design & Fashion Shop, Kaval-Ants Tavern & Terrace, a rustic countryside style tavern, Vihula Manor Mini-Golf, the largest mini-golf facility in the Baltic countries, Vihula Manor Sport Arena for tennis and teamsports, Vihula Manor Leisure Centre with Party Room, Saunas and Terraces and Vihula Manor Eco-Farm, an ecologically operated farm with farm animals. At the moment the last facilities are being completed including Cattle Barn with an in-door swimming pool, Vodka Distillery with a Vodka Museum and Wind Mill with a Viewing Platform. Besides, a number of new rooms and suites are being constructed and Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa will in 2012 offer 65 luxurious and comfortable rooms and suites.

Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa in the Lahemaa National Park in Estonia recently obtained “Green Key” certification. However, the full service manor resort is now taking its green commitment a step further. This autumn a number of ecological infrastructure facilities are being completed including a large sewage water cleaning station, geothermal heating systems, solar panels and wind generators.
Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa is giving a direction for sustainably and ecologically responsible operations and will become the first large hotel, conference facility and resort on the whole Baltic Sea region, which will predominantly be powered with sustainable energy and which will be recycling its own sewerage water and waste. Unique Hotels Group announces the opening of the Vihula Manor Mini-Golf on Sunday the 14th of August, 2011 at Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa, situated in the stunning Lahemaa National Park, only 1 hour’s drive from Tallinn.
The Vihula Manor Mini-Golf is the 1st and largest 18 hole mini-golf course in the Baltic States. The course is “themed” on a journey through the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Unique Hotels Group opened the Vihula Manor Holiday Village project at Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa, situated in the stunning Lahemaa National Park, 93 km from Tallinn.
Regional Minister, Siim Valmar Kiisler, who opened the new tourist attraction and exciting summer destination said: “The restoration works of Vihula Manor that has been carried out is a good example of how a site has been very cleverly and expertly developed in a cultural heritage envirronment. The venture will contribute to the necessary creation of jobs outside of the Harju County and to the development of the region as a whole.”
09.05.2011 MANORS OF VIHULA RURAL MUNICIPALITY AWARDED THE BEST RESTORED HISTORICAL DESTINATION TITLE (press release)
At the competition “Hidden Treasures of Estonia. Tourism and regeneration of physical sites” organised by Enterprise Estonia, first prize was awarded to three beautiful manors in Vihula Rural Municipality – Palmse, Sagadi and Vihula. Second place went to Hiiumaa lighthouses, and third place was awarded to Olustvere manor.

This spring will see the completion of a number of new facilities at Vihula Manor. The Old Water Mill with Visitor Centre, Post Office, Lifestyle Café, Museum and a large Design and Fashion Shop, and the Blacksmith’s House with party rooms, karaoke and saunas, will reopen in early May. Later in the spring, the Manor Gardens and the Greenhouses and a network of fascinating nature trails will be completed.
14.02.2011 VIHULA MANOR HOSTS BALTIC PRIME MINISTERS’ CONFERENCE (e-News)
Vihula Manor in the Lahemaa National Park, Estonia, had the honour of hosting last week’s conference of the three Baltic Prime Ministers. The Estonian Prime Minister’s Office had booked the whole estate for the conference. Vihula Manor was selected for this important summit because of the high quality of the accommodation, restaurants and conference facilities. Moreover, Vihula Manor was presented as a unique example of a 100% foreign investment that very thoughtfully preserves Estonian culture and nature – and creates numerous jobs in a rural area.

Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius met in Vihula to discuss the achievements of information and communication technology applications in the economy.
